Three days on the Mist / John Muir Trail. Two nights camping, and an incredible elopement experience.
Kristyn contacted me in March about eloping in Yosemite, originally wanting Glacier Point. Since Glacier Point Rd is closed for 2022, that means the only way to that spot is a long strenuous hike. After looking at some logistics, that spot didn't seem doable and I had to come up with a new plan.
After looking at maps and trail information, I came up with a three day backpacking plan to a spot I'd never seen photographed for an elopement before. Cody & Kristyn agreed, and the plan was in place! We got our special use permit approved, wilderness permit approved, I designed a meal plan and hiked with them in Yosemite for three days while photographing their journey.
This elopement has opened up my eyes to all kinds of new possibilities for what your adventure wedding could look like. I'm excited to say I already have another couple following this same route for their elopement in September!
