I'm very excited to be sharing Michelle & Eric's wedding on my website today. These are the FIRST of my local friends to get married, and I couldn't have been more honored to be their photographer! This wedding gives you perspective into how two locals chose to go about their special day, the vendors, the decor, the unique vision, truly I've never photographed a wedding like this before.
The location, is the Helipad Moab.
For many locals, the Helipad/Hearthspace is a vital part of our weekly or sometimes daily lives. There are many events here including live music, ecstatic dance, song circles, and more. It is a hub for community events, but this is the first time I've seen a wedding here. The luscious side yard provides an oasis in the desert, and beautiful sand paths lined with growing greenery and trees. Unexpected for the desert!
For florals, no one does it like
Tangled Sage.
Toni has become my most recommended florist to any client. It is truly a joy to work with her every time, on both professional and personal creative projects. Her husband and her also own the Stargazer Social, I can't tell you how exciting it is to see the beautiful decorated emerald green bus at any event. The bartenders are friendly and offer an exciting menu, the getting ready space feels like stepping into your own glamorous 1920's hollywood dream. Cannot recommend these vendors enough!
For cake, look no further than Daily Cakes. Her attention to detail, sweet personality, and delicious celebratory dessert is the perfect completion to your wedding day.
In short, this was the dream team. There is nothing like working with your favorite vendors in the wedding industry, who all just so happen to be your friends! Our beautiful little tourist might see over two million tourists each year, but for locals, we all know each other. Everyone in attendance was a friendly face, all the guests, vendors, and of course, the bride and groom.
To top it all of, I took Michelle & Eric to one of my favorite more private overlooks for a sunset session the next day. The perfect blend between an oasis in the desert ceremony, and photos overlooking the canyon floors! Thank you Michelle and Eric for entrusting me with capturing the wedding of your dreams. I enjoyed every second of this process with you, and look forward to many more years of photos and friendship!
