Shivers Wedding | Sanibel Island Florida Tropical Garden Wedding
Our last photo wedding of 2019 took place this on December 7th, which also just so happened to be my birthday! What an incredible way finish our 2019 season! Jess & John were such a fun couple, getting to know them over the few months prior to their wedding made the experience even better. I knew this day was going to be gorgeous, but seeing everything come together and capturing this story was such a joy.
Sanibel Island is a place very special to me. My family would vacation there every December, my dad would always tell me he was giving me the beach for my birthday. When Jess inquired and I saw the location and date, it felt like total fate! On top of that, Jess and John found themselves randomly in Ohio last September. We were able to do their engagement session in our home state and go out to dinner afterwards.
Jess is one of the most stunningly beautiful brides I’ve ever seen, and she’s also the silliest. Her personality is explosive, she knows what she wants, and she’s so kind and caring to everyone. At the reception, she took the mic and thanked us for working on my birthday in front of all the guests. It totally took me by surprise, and catering even brought out a special cupcake with a candle. I can’t express how much that meant to me!
We love these two. We love that they hired us, trusted us with this incredible day, and we can’t wait to visit them again in Sanibel someday!
