Shelby & Riley | November Forest Golden Hour Engagement Session

We met with Shelby & Riley at one of our favorite local parks, a dam located close to our hometown in Ohio. It has a charming little pine forest tucked away in the park, and it is especially one of my favorite locations for golden hour. The orange harsh glow of light burst through the cracks between the pine trees, and advanced across the fields turning them gold. Then after the sunset, we took some blue hour photos in front of the water falling from the dam All this makes these photos feel like a fairytale to me. Shelby & Riley’s love story is special, purposeful, it overcomes adversity, and they are so perfect for each other. He proposed to her in the most epic way possible, surprising her with an engagement party filled with their friends, family, and even one of her bestfriends who flew out for the event. I was in awe listening to the story, and you can view the video of their proposal by clicking here.

This session couldn’t have been more beautiful. Not only are Shelby and Riley a gorgeous couple, but the weather was perfect and unusually warm for a November day. The Midwest really came through for us and gave us a great day. After their session, we celebrated by going to our favorite local restaurant for tacos and the best queso in the Midwest. They’re getting married at the end of this upcoming summer, and we are so excited to continue capturing their love story on their wedding day!
