Miriam & Nathan | North Cascades National Park, Washington Styled Elopement + Engagement Shoot

Miriam & Nathan are literally LIFE SAVERS. Upon arriving at North Cascades National Park to our campground, our models texted me telling me that they wouldn’t be able to make our sunrise shoot TWO days from then. With some help from the others with us we all posted in local groups, reached out to friends, searched hashtags, whatever we could to fill in their spot.

Nathan reached out to me and after discussing logistics, decided they would make it work. Nathan got off work, they drove immediately to the park arriving around midnight, to then wake up at 4am the next day. My first time meeting them face to face was in the rain in completely darkness with nothing but headlamps to try and make out each others facial features. We drove them to this spot we had scouted the day before, and I did Miriam’s makeup in the car. Yes, I did her makeup in the dark, in a moving car, and it turned out pretty good!

For this shoot, our amazing florist Brenna also arrived late the night before. On practically no sleep, she created what she said to be one of her favorite bouquets ever, and it really was incredible! Miriam is wearing my BHLDN skirt, and a beautiful lace BHLDN top we found in Portland on their sale rack! One of my favorite dress companies, I love taking photos of their dresses. We ended the session with some cute engagement style photos since at this point, Miriam and Nathan were actually engaged! By the time I post this blog they’ll have been married for a few weeks. Congratulations you two, I’m so happy to have met you!
