boating, ziplining, arches, private chef, star gazing, & more.

4 days, 10 epic locations, and an adventure wedding no one could ever forget.

Where to even begin with Madison & Jonathan's adventure wedding.

The trust and enthusiasm these two brought for their wedding was a dream come true for me. They wanted my opinion on locations and activities, and didn't say no to anything. This led to 4 days and 10 locations, with non stop fun and activities with their immediate family.

Sky was the limit with these two, and they were so down for every adventure. I'm going to separate this blog by day, to show you how much you can truly pack into an adventure wedding here in Moab.

Let's begin with night 1,
star gazing in Arches National Park!

Day 2,
a family boat trip on the Colorado River,
guided by paddle moab

These two got married on the summer solstice. In case you didn't know, Moab in the summer is HOT. I told these two the only thing I would suggest to break away from the heat mid day, is to utilize our access to the Colorado River with a private guided trip. The location we chose is called Postcard Alley, for the amazing views at the end that open up to Fisher Towers. Easy section of river, no rapids, just a fun day of floating, splashing, and enjoying the water with your family!

They hired a local musician named Bryce to play Jazz on the river, completing the experience and adding 0n the beautiful sounds of music bouncing off the canyon walls. I will now be recommending this activity to any summer elopements here in Moab! Sometimes if you're lucky, you may even see a big horn sheep!

day 3: ceremony in arches, zipling, and a delicious celebratory dinner at an Airbnb with a private chef!

Day 3 begin very early with getting ready at the Airbnb. I drove Madison, and Jonathan drove himself to the first look location, the same location we used for star gazing! Through the first look and ceremony, there was not a dry eye in attendance. After the ceremony, we did more couple photos at Double Arch, before continuing to Sand Dune Arch for breakfast. Sand Dune Arch was this couples first choice for a ceremony location, however with new rules in Arches National Park, it's no longer a ceremony location. I suggested we use it for a group picnic breakfast, and they loved the idea!

For the mid day adventure, they chose none other than Raven's Rim Zipline!

I cannot emphasize how much fun this was, and no one had more fun than grandpa! We zipped around on the rocks all day, learned about local geology and biology from our incredible guides, and enjoyed zipping the 4 by 4's up and down the road. An amazing experience I cannot recommend enough!

This brings up to the reception.

The reception was hosted at their Airbnb, which was a duplex able to house family on both sides. The family set up cute decor, candles, tables runners, and more. Their private chef is also a good friend of mine, Dalton curated a delicious meal and beautiful experience. The desserts also did not disappoint! They did their first dance under the stars, and Madison surprised Jonathan with a song. A beautiful evening to celebrate this couple, and conclude our time with their family.

Day 4,

full day of adventure exploring around Utah!

Yet ANOTHER early morning and late evening, but OH so worth it! There were a few locations further from Moab that Madison and Jonathan wanted to utilize for their couple photos. All these locations were new to me, and I was SO excited for another full day of adventure with them! We used the early morning and late afternoon for photos with the best lighting, and needed to fill the afternoon time in between. I decided to take them on one of my favorite hikes in the entire world, a secret location I will not share publicly, but was more than happy to share with them in person.

This day was a dream come true. The sunrise, the drone shots, the sunset, they even cried together and enjoyed the sunset privately to send off their wedding adventure.

Madison & Jonathan, I cannot thank you enough. This weekend showed me how much adventure and quality time you can pack into a wedding, and I couldn't have done it without your excitement to participate and trust in my knowledge as a local. I will never forget your wedding, and I'm sure you won't either! Congratulations on your family growing- and I hope to see you down the road again!
