WHERE do you start?
I'm glad you're here. This is a beginning guide to help you through your initial questions. In this guide I will give my advice and broad locations, however I will not share specific viewpoints or trail names. If you want those locations, you'll want to reach out to me directly here.
Let's begin!
1. First, let's talk timing, and privacy.
The hour after sunrise, and the hour before sunset, will be the time of day your photos will look best in. For privacy, I ALWAYS recommend sunrise over sunset. Sunrise will guarantee the best light and least amount of tourists around you. Remember, Arches alone see 2 million tourists each year, it's yard to find a spot totally private, but your photographer can help you mitigate the risk.

WHY DO I WANT A TWO HOUR SESSION
split between morning and evening?
More than likely, you're proposing on a trail, and overlook, somewhere where your partner is dressed in hiking attire, not in engagement photo attire. When I'm hired for a proposal, normally we meet for an hour in the morning, for the proposal itself and some quick photos after. Then, you and your partner have the whole day to soak it in, do some shopping and prepare for your sunset session. We meet up again for sunset, for more formal photos. Here's a couple of outfit examples:
