Carly and Alex planned their epic adventure elopement in Moab with me in under two months!
Elopements can often be a more last minute decision. You know you want to marry your partner, you have a trip coming up, and without the moving parts of anyone else being there, it's much easier to plan the day of your dreams in significantly less time, especially with a little guidance! Couples will often reach out to me with some ideas, or a firm ceremony location, but not sure how else they want to spend their day. After a few emails and a couple phone calls, Carly and Alex decided on canyoneering being apart of their elopement. With weather windows, they decided to split their coverage between two days, getting canyoneering done on the first day. I was so proud of Alex pushing past his fear of heights for this unforgettable experience!
The next day I picked up Carly from Sorrel River Ranch and brought her nearby to one of my favorite first look locations in Castle Valley. They shared their vows privately there, before I took them to my one of my favorite natural drinking springs named ‘Matrimony', a perfect local tradition to share with elopement couples.
We had the one of the most memorable drives I've ever had with clients out to their ceremony location, I truly have never driven with someone who drove like Alex on this off road route haha. My favorite part of their day came after the ceremony. On our drive back, the crescent moon popped out from the clouds, and the little line of sunset color stayed on the dark sky horizon. I suggested we stop, and they share their first dance in the car headlights. Their song was perfect for this moment, a beautiful way to send off their elopement weekend.
Congratulations Carly & Alex!
