Kelly Elopement | Rainy & Mountainous Boise National Forest, Idaho Elopement

Sara & Mitch were supposed to get married on April 24th at the Boise Train Depot. Because of Covid-19, they quickly realized that wasn’t possible. Sara called me and let me know their plans were changing, they still wanted to marry each other despite the circumstances, and sooner rather than later. They pushed their date up three weeks, and got married in the mountains close to their home.

Jeremiah and I arrived in Idaho a couple days early, and spent a day scouting in the national forest for somewhere Sara and Mitch could have their first look privately. We found that perfect spot! They loved the location we chose for their first look, and afterwards we all hopped in a car together to drive up the mountains and into the snow. I had Sara’s mom prepare some charcuterie type snacks in a gift bag. Once we got to the top of the mountain, I laid out a picnic for them complete with Mr + Mrs mugs, and a bottle of Champagne.

Their ceremony was one of the best we have ever been a part of, and I’m honored to have signed as a witness. It rained the whole time, the storm painted a beautiful picture of how they have persevered through it all and kept God & each other at the center. We ended the night with a delicious family style dinner at her parents house, what an incredible day! To all the other couples who have changing wedding plans due to the pandemic, I hope this blog gives you an idea of just how amazing your day can still be!

We’re so happy for Mr + Mrs Kelly, and very thankful we were able to be apart of such an incredible and unique day.
