Burning man // Black Rock City

In 2022, I attended my first Burning Man. This was a very full circle moment for me, as I reminisced on a conversation with the couple I bought my van from in 2019. Somehow Burning Man got brought up, and they excitedly asked me if I would ever go. I replied “Maybe… I'm intrigued by the art, I would be curious to see it in person”. I said that at the time with no realistic hope of that happening, given the circumstances which surrounded my life at the time.

When I went to Burning Man in my van three years later, I cried excited tears the entire 18 hour drive from an elopement in Northern Montana to Black Rock City. My first experience was incredible, and after taking a year off, I returned to BRC in 2024, mainly to capture these two beautiful souls marriage to each other!

Grass & Carson

I met Grass & Carson in a school bus on the central coast of California over three years ago. I've witness them in highs and lows of their lives, and they've seen me through my own trials and growth. It makes me overjoyed I got to be here to witness one of their greatest moments, their wedding on the playa 💛

This is Carson's third year as a DPW member, and Grass's second. Last year, Carson proposed on burn night next to a crane. This year they returned to the same spot to exchange vows and rings, witnessed by their friends dressed up for the clown theme of this wedding!

This night was the biggest reason I wanted to go to burning man this year, and I'm so appreciative of these twos trust in me to capture this and their free form vibe that curated such a beautiful night. Congratulations Grass & Carson! I love you both so much 💛
