This was our first time visiting the Redwoods in Northern California, and it definitely did not disappoint! Jeremiah and I got married in Sequoia National Park in Southern California, and everyone has always told us that although both parks feature redwoods trees, they are different. We were excited to see how truly different they were! The Redwoods in NorCal are very dense, you can be standing in the middle of the forest at high noon and see no light. The forest is so thick, you can be driving through and feel like it’s night time. Very different from Sequoia, with the giants being more spread out and the golden light beaming through emphasizing the red colors of the woods.

We had an amazing group campsite I found from HipCamp on a farm off the Avenue of the Giants, this is where the styled shoot started. We started off by taking details of Alice’s dress, and florals provided by our incredible florist Brenna! Afterwards we headed into the park at a spot I scouted earlier that day, and took pictures amongst the giant redwoods and beautiful vibrant green ferns. We didn’t have long to shoot in the park, because we wanted to head to the coast for sunset. We drove up to the beach, and then we stumbled upon this hill that reminded me of a mini Big Sur! It was perfect for sunset.

Thank you so much to everyone who helped this styled shoot come together with me! Thank you Alice and Sebastian for driving hours away to model for us, Amanda for providing the beautiful top, and of course Brenna who in my opinion, is the best florist in the world.
